What Insurance does Modern Endocrine take?

How long does it take to receive lab results?

Depending on the facility, lab results typically take up to 7 days to be reported. Please allow an additional 2-3 days for them to be reviewed by a provider. Office staff will contact you when your results are ready.

How do I get a copy of my medical records?

How do I get my medical records? Please print out the form Release of Medical Records. Fill this out and bring it into the office if you are wanting your own records. We charge $1 for the first page and $0.50 every page after that. We will call you when they are ready to pick up. If you want another providers office to request them, just print and fill out the form, then give it to the requesting provider.

How can I get my prescription refilled?

Please contact your pharmacy for prescription refills. Phone calls regarding prescriptions will only be returned if you have already contacted your pharmacy. Refills will be made only during regular office hours and no refills will be available on nights, holidays, or weekends. Advanced notice of 3 days is required. 

Should I bring my medical history with me?

Yes, anything you would like reviewed with your provider should be brought with you to your appointment. We do not have access to any medical records at other offices.

Does insurance cover hormone replacement therapy?

Insurance covers some forms of hormone replacement therapy, however, coverage varies greatly on a case-by-case basis. Speak with your Modern Endocrine provider about this at your next visit!

Is it safe for women to do hormone replacement therapy?

Testosterone therapy alone does NOT increase the risk of breast cancer. Please speak with your health care provider about your options today!

Does Hormone Replacement Cause Breast Cancer?

Bioidentical testosterone has been shown in previous to reduce the risk of breast cancer. However, all individuals should speak with their health care provider prior to starting hormone replacement of any kind!

Why should men get hormones?

Multiple studies have shown that there are great benefits for treating hypogonadism with testosterone these include increased libido, improved erectile dysfunction, improved energy levels, and increased muscle mass.
